Walking

If you enjoy walking, we have several local walking books and maps available for you to plan your route.

Cycling

Either bring your own bike (we have a lockable cycle store) or hire one in the village from Abbotshood Cycle Hire.  You could either take an easy ride along the canal towpath, or be more adventurous and find a circular route using the relatively traffic-free minor road network in the area.

Golf

Golfers are well catered for, with a 9-hole golf course and driving range  less than a mile away and Tiverton Golf Club about 3 miles away.

Fishing

The Grand Western Canal provides a quiet and relaxing venue with a good range of coarse angling opportunities.  (A fishing licence is required.)
