The Grand Western Canal is at the end of our garden - the towpath is on the opposite side of the canal and can be accessed just down the road at Sampford Peverell Bridge.

The canal stretches for about 11 miles and provides for level walking and cycling.  Boats and canoes can be hired at the Tiverton Canal Basin, or why not take a trip on the horse-drawn barge run by the Tiverton Canal Company.
